Betty has been involved in the Macon, Georgia art scene for the last 30 years. While attending Mercer University, she studied painting and sculpture and since then has enjoyed studying with other prominent artists and attending workshops. Betty's artwork has been seen in galleries and exhibits throughout Central Georgia and the Southeast. She expanded her talents 18 years ago launching her interior design business, Creative Interiors. Her training in this pursuit went hand in hand with her passion for painting and enhanced her artistic endeavors. Her absolute love of color and beauty in this business influenced her to focus more of her time on painting.
Betty has produced work in oil, watercolor and acrylic media and focuses on a variety of subjects, including landscapes, seascapes and still life. Nature is the theme depicted in the majority of her paintings, however, abstracts have caught her attention and have been of interest and fun. Her work can be seen in Macon at Macon Arts Gallery, Middle Georgia Art Association, Art On The Avenue, and at Market City Cafe. Her paintings are also exhibited at the Georgia Heritage Center for the Arts in Tallulah Falls, GA
